Dream Keyboard Giveaway's Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 November 2025Introduction: Dream Keyboard Giveaway is a trading name of Neon Machines Ltd ("we," "us," or "our”) and is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your personal data when you use the pre-launch signup website for Dream Keyboard Giveaway (the “Site”) and related services, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.1. Data We Collect
- Contact Information: When you sign up to the pre-launch mailing list, we store your email address in order to contact you. This information is held by a third party mailing service, based in the UK: EmailOctopus (https://emailoctopus.com/). If you have signed up to the pre-launch list, you will only be sent emails regarding the site launch. You will have an opportunity to sign up to general news and updates once we are live.
- Usage Data: note that we do not store usage data for the pre-launch site.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
· Contacting you to tell you when the full Dream Keyboard Giveaway site is live and has prize competitions ready for you to enter. That’s it. When we launch the new site, there will be a new privacy policy that covers the behaviour specific to it.3. How We Share Your Data
We value your privacy and only share personal data in limited circumstances, essential to running the Site:
· Service Providers (Processors): We rely on trusted third-party companies to help us run Dream Keyboard Giveaway. These include cloud infrastructure and email sending providers. In particular, we use Carrd.co for website authoring and hosting and EmailOctupus.co.uk for storing your contact details and sending notification emails. These third parties act under our instructions as "data processors" and are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) to protect your information according to GDPR standards. They only get the minimum data necessary to perform the service and cannot use it for any other purpose.· Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process (for example, a court order or subpoena), or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dream Keyboard Giveaway, our users, or others. We will notify users of such requests when allowed by law.· Business Transfers: If Dream Keyboard Giveaway or its parent company undergoes a business transaction like a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that deal. If so, we will ensure the successor honours the commitments of this Privacy Policy or notify you and give you an opportunity to opt-out or delete your data before transfer. What we do not do: We never sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing or purposes. We do not share your personal information with advertisers or social networks. Any third-party that processes user data on our behalf does so under strict agreements and cannot use it beyond providing services to us.4. International Data Transfers
Dream Keyboard Giveaway is offered globally, and the third-party services we use may process data in datacenters located in various countries. This means your personal data may be transferred to and stored in countries outside of your own, including countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK. We understand the importance of safeguarding personal data in international transfers. Whenever we transfer EU/UK users’ personal data to a country that the European Commission (or UK authorities) has not deemed to have adequate data protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved mechanisms to ensure your data remains protected. Our DPA contracts with service providers include commitments to comply with GDPR standards for data transferred internationally. You can contact us for more information on the safeguards in place for cross-border data transfers.
5. Data Security
We take security seriously. We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. This includes encryption of data in transit (e.g., using HTTPS for all communications). We restrict access to personal data to only those employees and contractors who need it to operate or improve the service, and all such personnel are bound by confidentiality obligations. However, no system can be 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Specifically:
· Contact information submitted for the pre-launch Site is kept until we have launched the main competition site and emailed you to tell you about it. After that point, the pre-launch email list will be destroyed.7. Your Rights (For EEA, UK, and where applicable)
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with data protection laws, you have certain rights regarding your personal data:
· Access and Portability: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to receive it in a structured, commonly used format.· Rectification: You can ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete personal information. Most account information (other than your Apple-provided details) can be updated by you through the App or by contacting support.· Erasure: You can request that we delete your personal data. For example, you may request deletion of your account and all associated data. Note that we may need to retain some information if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (we will inform you).· Restriction of Processing: You can ask us to restrict processing of your data (for instance, to stop using it for improvement purposes) under certain conditions – for example, if you contest the data’s accuracy or object to our processing.· Objection to Processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data when we base it on legitimate interests. If you do so, we will re-evaluate our reasons and stop or limit processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds or need to continue for legal reasons. You also have the absolute right to object if we were to use your data for direct marketing (which we currently do not).· Withdraw Consent: If we rely on your consent for any specific processing (e.g. sending marketing), you can withdraw that consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out.· Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority about our handling of your data. If you are in the EU, you can contact the supervisory authority in your country. If you are in the UK, you can contact the ICO. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns directly before you do so – please feel free to contact us with any issues. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email provided in the Contact section. We may need to verify your identity (for example, by confirming you have access to the Apple ID email associated with your account) before fulfilling your request. We will respond to your request within the timeframes required by law (generally within 30 days for most requests under GDPR).8. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may use the Site only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. (For residents in the EEA/UK, you must be at least 16 years old to use this Site due to GDPR restrictions, or you must provide verifiable parental consent for us to lawfully process your data.) If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the minimum age, we will delete that information promptly. Parents or guardians who discover that their minor child has created a Dream Keyboard Giveaway account or provided us with personal data without consent should contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
9. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by an in-app notification or via the email associated with your account, and update the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically for any updates. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree with changes, you should stop using the App and may request deletion of your data.
